Action

England, 19th Century. Emma Woodhouse, a young woman who has lived since her marriage her nanny now alone with her elderly father. Occasionally the welcome Mr. Knightley comes to visit, but apart from that does not happen too much in the life of Emma Woodhouse. She decides to remedy this, and now tried every nubile lady to hook up from her circle with a reasonable man. Only Emma's intentions seem not to be always clear. Amidst this commotion, Emma discovers her feelings for a certain man. Only this will also Emma?

Other adaptations

In 1996, the movie Jane Austen's Emma and the TV film Emma emerged. BBC adapted the novel again in 2009 as a television series Emma, this time into four parts.
