Emma Byrne

Emma Byrne ( born June 14, 1979) is an Irish football player. The goalkeeper plays for English club Arsenal and the Irish national team.

Career

Emma Byrne joined in 1998 by the Irish club St Patrick's Athletic to Arsenal and has since ordinary goalkeeper. In her first season at Arsenal they won the Cup and the League Cup. Your first championship with Arsenal they won in 2001. To date, she won the championship five times and four times each the Cup and the League Cup. So far, she denied 50 caps for the Irish national team. 2003 and 2005 she was chosen by the Arsenal fans player of the year. In addition to the training sessions with the women's team she trains regularly with the male youth team of Arsenal.
