Emma Penella

Emma Penella ( born March 2, 1930 in Madrid, Spain, † August 27, 2007 ibid; born Manuela Ruiz Penella ) was a Spanish actress.

Penella was seen in movies, on stage and on the TV screen. She was the sister of actresses Elisa Montés and Terele Pavez, and granddaughter of the Spanish composer Manuel Penella. She was married producer Emiliano Piedra.

Penella has been active since 1950; until the late 1960s, she turned on a regular basis in addition to their work in the theater. Outstanding were doing their performances in the films Fedra (Manuel Mur Oti, 1955) and El verdugo ( Luis García Berlanga, 1963). In the following decades they focused mainly on their stage work until they return to their film work intensified mid-1980s, inter alia, in Carlos Saura, this time also and increasingly for television. There she played from 2003 to 2006 in the soap Aquí no hay quien viva.
