Emma Shapplin

Emma Shapplin ( born May 19, 1974 as Crystêle Madeleine Joliton in the Paris suburb of Savigny- le -Temple ) is a French operatic coloratura soprano.

Emma Shapplin started only as a fourteen year old to be interested in music, and was taught by a 70 - year-old former singer in classical singing. After a period as a singer of a hard rock group, they went back to the classic song. She developed her own style by combining opera singing with trance and pop. Already their debut album " Carmine Meo " in 1997 and the single " spente le stelle " was a big success and she received her first gold record.

Their latest album Macadam Flower ( 2009) was written and composed by herself.
