Emma Twigg

Emma Twigg ( born March 1, 1987 in Napier ) is a New Zealand rower. She won the bronze medal in the one at the World Championships in 2010 and 2011.

Career

Emma Twigg began in 2001 with the rowing, 2005, she won the Junior World Championship in one and finished at the U23 World Championship in fourth place. In 2006, she rowed in the eight New Zealand, who won the B-final at the World Rowing Championships in 2006 that finished seventh. 2007 returned Twigg in the back and triumphed One at the U23 World Championships, at the World Rowing Championships in 2006 she reached the A-final and placed himself in sixth. At the first World Cup regatta in Bled 2010 Karsten won ahead of Twigg, Twigg in Munich won the B-final. In the home World Championships on Lake Karapiro which the Swede Frida Svensson won ahead of Ekaterina Karsten, Twigg won their first medal as third parties in the adult area. 2011 occupied Twigg at the World Cup regatta in Hamburg to second place behind Ekaterina Karsten, in Lucerne Twigg celebrated her first World Cup victory. The World Rowing Championships 2011 in Bled Miroslava Knapkova won ahead of Ekaterina Karsten, Twigg finished two seconds behind Karsten in third. At the Olympic Games in London, it ranked 4th A year later, at the World Rowing Championships 2013 in Chungju, she was second.
