Emmanuel Baffour

Emmanuel Awuah Baffour ( born April 2, 1989 in Accra ) is a Ghanaian football player.

Career

Association

Baffour began his career in Accra at Ashalaja FC and changed on 16 February 2006 on the Liberty Professionals. July 11, 2008 Baffour left the Liberty Pro's and signed a contract with Tema Youth. In youth he developed in the Poly Tank Division One League top performer, but missed narrowly with the team promotion to the Globacom Premier League and therefore moved in January 2010 to the first division New Edubiase United. There he was injured not believe at first base and moved on loan in November 2010 for the Division Three League club FC Astronomies. After his return to the 2011/2012 season Baffour scored eleven goals in twelve games for New Edubiase United. After two years in New Edubiase United, he left for a trial in South Africa the association end of July 2012. Having convinced the trial and the sports medical survived, he signed on 25 July 2012, an agreement with the Mamelodi Sundowns.

National

After he had developed in the 2011/12 season when the underdog New Edubiase United top scorer of the Ghana Premier League, he was surprisingly nominated by Goran Stevanovic in the 25 player full, provisional squad for the African Cup of Nations 2012 Equatorial Guinea and Gabon. However, he failed to make it into the final 23- man tournament squad. He was ultimately his senior international debut on 29 February 2012 in a friendly against Chile in the PPL Park in Chester ( Pennsylvania), USA.
