Emmanuel Piget

Emmanuel Piget (born 25 February 1984 in Cognac ) is a French racing driver.

Career

Piget began his motorsport career in 1997 in karting, where he was active until 2000. In 2001 he moved to Formula racing and took for TCS Racing in seven of the ten races of the 2000 Formula Renault Euro Cup in part. In 2002, he stepped up to the team to two races of the series. He had no points. In addition, he took part in the 2002 French Formula Renault and reached the 17th place overall. In 2003, he improved with a podium placement to tenth place. In 2004 he took part in two races of the French Formula Renault Winter Series and the Spanish Formula 3 Championship.

After a hiatus of several years Piget returned in 2009 in the Motorsport back. For the Novo team ECA he went at the season finale of the European F3 Open, which had emerged from the Spanish Formula 3 Championship, at the start. This Piget won the Copa rating in the first race. 2010 started Piget for MP Racing season in the European F3 Open. Although he scored a third place already at the first event, his team did not participate in the third race weekend. On the fourth race weekend returned Piget and MP Racing unique in the European F3 Open and reached back once again to third place. The rest of the season took Piget participate in any racing series. He was tenth in the drivers' standings.

After Piget had paused again, he returned in 2013 to motorsport back. He received a cockpit at Zeta Corse for the opening round of the Formula Renault 3.5. The commitment came into existence in the short term, as the team had found a second driver, and Piget was the team manager Claudio Corradini good memories.
