Emmendorf

Emmendorf is a municipality in the midst of the Lüneburg Heath in the district of Uelzen, Lower Saxony. The municipality of Emmen village belongs to Samtgemeinde Bevensen - Ebstorf. Emmendorf has some 750 inhabitants.

Geography

The community is located halfway between Uelzen and Bad Bevensen. Through the town flows the river Ilmenau.

The municipality consists of the villages Emmendorf Emmendorf, Heitbrack, Nassennottorf and Walmstorf.

History

The places Emmendorf, Walmstorf and Nassennottorf lie in valleys Heitbrack on the eastern height of Ilmenau.
