Emmett Toppino

Martin Emmett Toppino ( born July 1, 1909 in New Orleans, Louisiana; † September 8, 1971 ) was an American track and field athlete and Olympic champion.

Toppino won at the USA Track & Field Indoor Championships 1932, the 60 yards with a time of 6.2 s X. The Olympic Summer Games 1932 in Los Angeles, he won the 4 x 100 - meter relay won the along with Robert Kiesel, Hector Dyer and Frank Wykoff the gold medal with a new world record time of 40.0 s before the teams from Germany ( silver ) and Italy ( bronze).
