Emmit King

Emmit King ( born March 24, 1959 in Bessemer ) is a former American track and field athlete, who specializes in the 100 -meter run.

The highlight of his career he reached at the World Athletics Championships 1983 in Helsinki. In the 4 x 100 - meter relay team, he won jointly with Willie Gault, Calvin Smith and Carl Lewis for the title. Here, the American quartet set a new world record with her winning time of 37.86 s.
