Emmy Loose

Emmy Loose, also Emmy Loose - Kriso ( born January 22, 1914 in Karbitz in Usti nad Labem, Bohemia, † October 14, 1987 in Vienna) was an Austrian opera singer.

Loose studied at the Prague Conservatory and made his debut in 1939 as Blonde in Die Entführung aus dem Serail at the Staatstheater Hannover. In 1941 she came to the Vienna State Opera, whose ensemble she was a member from 1942 until his retirement in 1976.

The soprano celebrated in more than 40 games especially as a Mozart singer and light Italian trade with great success. Alone 215mal she embodied Papagena in The Magic Flute, 135 times the Blonde in The Abduction from the Seraglio.

She was in numerous festivals such as the Salzburg Festival, the Maggio Musicale in Florence, Glyndebourne, La Scala and other opera houses to guest. In 1979, she ended her career and became a teacher at the Vienna School of Music and at the Summer Academy in Salzburg.

Her sister is the operetta singer Friedl Loor. Emmy Loose rests on the Hietzing Cemetery in Vienna ( group 39, Number 25).
