Emory H. Price

Emory Hilliard Price ( born December 3, 1899 in Bostwick, Putnam County, Florida; † February 11, 1976 in Jacksonville, Florida ) was an American politician. Between 1943 and 1949 he represented the state of Florida in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Emory Price attended the public schools in Duval County in Florida. After a subsequent study of law at the Law College Jacksonville and its made ​​in 1936 admitted to the bar he began in Jacksonville at work in his new profession. From 1929 to 1932 he was a town councilor in Jacksonville; 1932 to 1942, he led the acquisition authority in Duval County.

Politically Price was a member of the Democratic Party. In the congressional elections of 1942 he was in the second electoral district of Florida in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he succeeded Robert A. Green took up on January 3, 1943, who moved into the newly created sixth district. After two re- election he was able to complete in Congress until January 3, 1949 three legislative periods.
