Empedrado Department

The department Empedrado is in the northwest of the province of Corrientes in the north- eastern Argentina and is one of 25 administrative units in the province.

To the north it borders on the Departamento Capital, on the northeast by the Departamento San Luis del Palmar, on the southeast by the Departamento Mburucuyá, to the south by the Departamento saladas and to the west by the provinces of Chaco and Santa Fe, of which there by the Río Paraná is isolated.

The capital of the department is the city of Empedrado Empedrado.
