Emperor Hanazono

Emperor Hanazono (花园 天皇Japanese Hanazono tennō; * August 14, 1297, † December 2, 1348 ) was the 95th Tenno of Japan and the last of the Kamakura period ( 28 December 1308-29 March 1318. ). His proper name was Tomihito (富仁).

One of his wives was the Tsubone as Ichijō no known younger sister of Senkōmon - in Saneko. At first she was maid of honor and playmate of the Go - Fushimi ( r. 1298-1301 ). After that, she served Hanazono ( r. 1308-18 ), with whom she had the Prince Kakuyo - hōshinnō (覚 誉 法 亲王).

He ascended the throne after the death of his Japanese predecessor Go- Nijo. In 1318, his Go-Daigo was followed in the reign, the first emperor of the Muromachi period. Hanazono then lived another thirty years before he died in 1348.
