Emperor Shun

Emperor Shun (Chinese舜) ( according to the legend: * BC, † 2240 BC) was one of the mythical Urkaiser of Chinese culture. Born as Yao Chonghua (姚 重 华), he was also known as Youyu -shi (有 虞氏), Great Shun (大舜) and Yu Shun (虞舜). Shun was according to tradition a long time the deputy of his predecessor Yao and eventually took over the throne. He reformed the calendar essence, weights and measures and introduced a more lenient punishment. According to legend, he died at the blessed age of 100 years, after he had handed over his power to Yu the Great. Its capital was in Puban (蒲阪, today Shanxi ).
