Emporis

The Emporis GmbH is a founded in 1996 and information services company for the international property industry. It has its headquarters in Hamburg. Managing directors are Daniel Grözinger, Sven Schmidt and Daniel Schuldt. The founders include, among others Marshall Gerometta, who has worked at the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat today.

Emporis collects, analyzes and evaluates data of buildings. Their flagship product is the database Emporis Research building-related information from more than 154,000 cities worldwide contains, according to the publisher, making it the world's most comprehensive source for building public information. Full functionality is only available to registered customers.

The founder of Emporis, Michael Wutzke, has left the company on September 2010 at his own request.

Architecture Prize

Emporis awards each year the architecture prize Emporis Skyscraper Award to the best in terms of design and functionality of new high-rise. Be nominated only buildings that are either more than 100 feet tall or have 40 floors and more.
