Empress Lü (Houshao)

Empress Lǚ (Chinese吕 皇后/吕 皇后) was the wife of the Han emperor Houshao. She was the daughter of Lü Chan (吕 产), a grandnephew of Empress Dowager Lü Zhi, BC drew the Chinese government in the 80 years of the 2nd century. When the Empress mother fell ill in 180 BC, they appointed Lü Lu (吕 禄) and Lü Chan with the regent for the underage Emperor and married her great-grandniece of the Emperor. After the death of the Empress Dowager her clan was overthrown and executed the emperor. The further fate of the Empress Lü is unknown. It is possible that they also perished in the turmoil of the revolution.
