Emra Tahirović

Emra Tahirović ( born July 31, 1987 in Sarajevo (ex- Yugoslavia, now Bosnia and Herzegovina) ) is a Swedish football player. The 1.89 meter tall striker is originally from Bosnia and emigrated in 1992 to Sweden.

Tahirović began his professional career at Örebro SK in the second-rate Superettan. After a season in which he to 21 league games - including 17 as a substitute - was come, he went on to Halmstad BK in the first-class Allsvenskan. There he came in one and a half seasons to 30 games, where he was, however, still mainly used as a substitute. Nevertheless Tahirović was taken into account in the Swedish U- 21 team. For the junior national team he debuted on June 5, 2007 at play in Helsingborg between Sweden and Switzerland, which ended 0-0. Move abroad

In the summer of 2007 changed Tahirović who has been linked with Werder Bremen, Eintracht Frankfurt and FC Zurich, for Lille OSC in the French Ligue 1 after only two games in the French Ligue 1 at OSC Lille, he joined in January 2008 as third Swedish player next to Dusan Djuric and Andrés Vásquez in this transfer period for reigning Swiss champions FC Zurich. He signed a loan contract until end of season with an option for a definitive takeover until summer 2012. According to two goals in 16 games this season, the club decided after the departure of Eudis to deal with the offensive player on and pulled the option.

Under coach Bernard Challandes Tahirović could not prevail at the start of season 2008/ 09 on the team and played for a time in the second team. Finally, he was loaned to his former Swedish club Örebro SK in the winter of 2009. In his first professional station he came regularly used again, however, mainly as a substitute.

After the end of the season Tahirović initially returned to FC Zurich. On 22 January he left, however, on loan again to Switzerland and joined the Dutch club MVV Maastricht in the subprime Eerste Divisie. It first returned after the season in Switzerland, it gave the FC Zurich in August 2010 for the entire season at the Spanish third division side CD Castellón and agreed with the Spaniards a purchase option. However, he came infrequently used, in February 2011 suspended him the club. In May, reported the Swedish press, the player was also not paid for his Spanish club to date.

In August 2011 it was announced that the FC Zurich and Emra Tahirovic have resolved to 2013 current contract by mutual agreement. As a result, he was without a club.
