Emthanjeni (also: Enthanjeni ) is a municipality in the district of Pixley Ka Seme, Northern Cape Province in South Africa. In 2001, the population was 35,540 in a total area of 11,390 km ². The administrative center is De Aar.

Enthanjeni is the Xhosa word for vein. The water supply of the population takes place by underground water veins.
