Encarna Granados

Encarna Granados (actually Encarnación Granados Aguilera, born January 30, 1972 in Sarria de Ter ) is a former Spanish race walker.

At the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992, she took over 10 km to the fourteenth place. The greatest success of her career, she celebrated a year later over the same distance at the World Athletics Championships in Stuttgart in 1993. Add a personal best of 43:21 minutes, she won the bronze medal behind Sari Essayah ( 42:59 min) and Ileana Salvador ( 43:08 min).

At the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 1994 Granados Fifteenth was, km at the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 1995 Sixteenth in 10 walking. However, they did not reach the goal at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta and at the European Athletics Championships 1998 in Budapest. Im 20 km Walk reached at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney 20th place

In addition Encarna Granados was eight times Spanish champion, four times each in a 20 km Walk (1992, 1994, 1995, 1997) and in the 10,000 m Track Walk (1993-1995, 2000). She is 1,68 m tall and had a competition weight of 50 kg.
