End Day is a BBC documentary of 2005. In this film, five scenarios of various disasters are played.

Action

Every day starts the same. Every morning at 7:00 clock is Dr. Robert Howell, a scientist on to fly from London to New York because he is there to take a controversial particle accelerator in operation. But four times he comes not stop there. First, he drives a taxi to London airport. When he arrives at the airport, which is actually planned flight is already gone. So he has to take the 11:10 machine. The day always starts the same, has five different endings. All ends are terrible, because either occurred a disaster of gigantic proportions, or even the end of the world is imminent.

The first scenario is about a volcanic eruption on the island of La Palma. In this outbreak, a large part of the island slips into the sea. A tidal wave hurtling directly toward the East Coast of the U.S., so to New York. Howell waiting in the hall on his plane. Then, the wave reached New York. Howell tries to reach someone in New York to announce his late arrival. Then comes the announcement that all flights to New York were canceled.

The second scenario begins with strange explosions in the early morning in the Middle East. Later it becomes clear that a meteor heading toward Berlin. The city is evacuated; those who can not be evacuated, are instructed to go to subway tunnels or other low-lying places. An attempt to deflect the meteor with nuclear missiles fails, and it is torn to pieces, the further hurtling inexorably towards Berlin. A few moments later followed by the first fragments of the meteor into the atmosphere, and shortly afterwards the biggest chunk, which leaves a giant crater in Berlin.

In the third scenario breaks out a deadly virus, which appears to come from Asia. Then a call is made that all the passengers of flight 009 UK should arrive at a doctor. As in the London Underground a passenger on that flight collapses and dies, the scenario takes its course. More and more people are infected by the virus. The end result is an epidemic that reaches far beyond London.

The fourth scenario starts with an earthquake in Yellowstone National Park. Experts fear that an outbreak of the super volcano is imminent. Other earthquakes take place. Finally, the volcano erupts. The effects can range up to Washington DC. Howells flight is diverted to Toronto and then he flies back to London.

In the fifth scenario, it creates Howell for the first time to fly to New York. His experiment with the particle starts despite ongoing protests, but it escalated. A chain reaction occurs. This time the end of the world thing is certain: A black hole is formed and absorbs everything. Finally, one sees a plane, which is located in the vicinity of the black hole. The captain says that equal some severe turbulence should be expected and should make that no one cares. At the end of the aircraft collides with another.
