Endang Rahayu Sedyaningsih

Endang Rahayu Sedyaningsih - Mamahit ( born 1 February 1955 in Jakarta, † May 2, 2012 ibid ) was an Indonesian doctor and politician.

Life

After studying at the University of Indonesia in 1979, she was working as a doctor at the Jakarta Pertamina Hospital. From 1980, she worked in various positions in the State Health Indonesia. In 1997 she received her doctorate at the Harvard School of Public Health in the U.S. and moved to the Center of Disease Control, Research and Program Development. In 2001, she worked for half a year at the headquarters of the World Health Organization in Geneva.

From 22 October 2009 to 26 April 2012 she was a member of the Health Minister of the Indonesian government under Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

She died of a lung disease.
