Enforcer (Band)

Enforcer is a Swedish heavy metal band from Arvika, Sweden.

History

The band was founded in 2004 as a solo project by Olof Wikstrand, the later, however, in recording studios only the singing, or in live performance vocals and guitar took over.

In the following years, the guitarist Adam Zaars ( Tribulation, Repugnant ), bassist Joseph Tholl and Jonas Wikstrand joined him on drums. The latter moved in 2007 to the bass guitar and was represented by Jacob Ljungberg on drums, but left the band a short time later. In the occupation Wikstrand / Zaars / Tholl / Wikstrand the band 2007-2008 recorded the debut album Into The Night, which was released by the U.S. label Heavy Artillery.

Following the arrival of bassist Tobias Lindqvist in 2008 Joseph Tholl switched to guitar. With this line- Enforcer took from November 2009 to January 2010 their second studio album Diamonds on, which was published by Heavy Artillery in North America and Earache Records in Europe. It was followed by a European tour with the band Suicidal Angels, Steelwing and Cauldron under the name Power Of Metal.

In October 2010, the band turned a music video for the song from the album Midnight Vice Diamonds. Directed by Patric Ullaeus. In November and December 2010, a European tour was followed by the opening act of the Australian rock band Airbourne.

On 22 March 2011, the band announced the departure of guitarist Adam Zaars whose position is to Olof Wikstrand additionally assume to singing. In April Enforcer toured with the bands and Bullet Skull Fist through Europe and played in the connector on the music festival Keep It True.

Style

The band is often associated with heavy and sometimes speed metal. In his review about Diamonds stated Andreas Celestone of the magazine Rock Hard, " main influences [ were ] still bands like early Maiden, Riot and a touch Exciter or Savage Grace". The album reached number 5 in this issue in the Richter scale.
