Engineering physics

Under the technical physics or physical technique makes it possible that branch of physics that deals with the applications of physical sciences.

It uses among others areas of the molecular physics, condensed matter physics, optics, and physical measurement and analysis.

Degree in Technical Physics

The course of study Technical Physics is offered at most universities in addition or alternatively to the study of physics. The program consists of a 6 -semester Bachelor's degree and a subsequent 4- semester Master's degree program. A similar training through students in master's degree programs, such as the Master degree in Applied Physics.

The course provides the students with knowledge of engineering fundamentals - Lectures from the experimental and theoretical physics - along with the working methods of the physicist and the technical mindset of engineers. So tasks from electrical engineering, computer science and mechanical engineering are included.

The course Physical Engineering is also offered at numerous colleges technical orientation. In contrast to university education more emphasis is placed on practical work.

The course is a practice-oriented engineering degree program and ends with the completion of Diplom-Ingenieur ( FH). Recently, the colleges provide almost without exception in the international bachelor's degree program. He takes 6-7 semesters and, after graduating with a 2-4 semester long master's program are supplemented (Master of Science). The standard period of study for diploma engineers in physical technology is 8 semesters, including one or two practical semester and the thesis, which can take at the beginning before the 8th semester up to 9 months, otherwise generally 3-4. One extension is usually possible upon request.
