Enhanced Messaging Service

Enhanced Message Service ( Enhanced Messaging Service) or EMS is a service for communication between mobile phones and uses the normal infrastructure of SMS, but also send along yet in a position to images and sounds.

An Enhanced Message is in contrast to the short message from the SMS is not limited to 160 characters in length, but it costs each started additional 160 characters a message separately. Nevertheless Short Messages or Enhanced messages are usually cheaper compared to the use of the MMS.
