Langschnabel parakeet
Long -billed Parrots are a genus of Neuweltpapageien. The genus contains two species found in South America.
Appearance and behavior
The two types of long- billed Parrots are large parakeets with 40 and 37 centimeters in length. A characteristic feature of the genus is the long, graduated tail. In both species the bill is relatively long. When Langschnabel parakeet also the upper mandible is prolonged. For this reason, the two types have long been associated with various species. Dissemination
The Emerald Parakeet is found in southern Argentina, in southern Chile. The long beak parakeet is limited in its distribution to Chile and thus settled the western slopes of the Andes.
