Enno Edzardisna

Enno Cirksenas (also: Enno Edzardisna Gen. Attena and Syardsna ) (* 1380, † 1450 ) was chief of the North, Greetsiel, Berum and Pilsum. He was the son of the chief Edzard ( II ) of Appingen - Greetsiel and his wife Doda tom Brok. Enno and his sons Edzard and Ulrich Enno opposed from 1430 Freiheitsbund the Seven Ostfrieslande the chief Focko Ukena. This Enno is considered a pioneer of the claim to power of the house Cirksenas throughout East Frisia, the finally got his son Ulrich 1464 formally conferred with the attainment of the imperial county.

Ennos first wife is not documented. His second wife he married Gela Syardsna of Manslagt († 1455 ), a daughter of a powerful chief affo Beningaburg of Pilsum. After Gelas only son from his first marriage, the chief Liudward Cirksenas ( " Syrtza " ) was passed to Berum mid-30s of the 15th century without descendants, were Gela and their niece Frauwa Cirksenas ( " Sirtzena " ), the sole heir of the Cirksenas Berum.
