Ennominae
Schlehenspanner ( Angerona prunaria )
The Ennominae are a large subfamily of the tensioner ( Geometridae ) within the butterflies ( Lepidoptera).
Features
The species of the Family in size, color and drawing corresponding to the large number of species a wide variation. The caterpillars have developed a wide range of forage crops. As apomorphes feature that applies established the monophyly of the group that the vein M2 is missing on the hind wings. According to other authors, however, are the Ennominae not monophyletic, since this reduction feature could have arisen more than once.
System
Within the subfamily are depending on the author still up to 22 tribes differed, although not all of which occur in Europe. Therefore, only occurring in Central Europe tribes and genera are listed.
