Enrico Toccacelo

Enrico Toccacelo ( born December 14, 1978 in Rome ) is an Italian race car driver.

Career

With nine years Toccacelo began his career in karting. In 1996 he moved to Formula racing in the Italian Formula Campus, where he also launched a year later. This was followed by two years in the Italian Formula 3 Championship, 1998, he finished in eleventh place in 1999 from third parties. 2000 started Toccacelo in the German Formula 3 Championship and achieved seventh place overall.

It first started in various racing series, Toccacelo participated in the last four races of the 2001 season of Formula 3000 in part. He joined as team-mate Giorgio Pantano for Team Astro Mega and was to have scored no points, 30 in the championship. In 2002, together with Toccacelo Pantano to Coloni F3000. Toccacelo could win the race in Budapest and was ninth in the overall standings. In 2003 started Toccacelo in Formula 3000th He drove this year for Super Nova Racing and won the race on the Nürburgring. In the end, he finished in sixth place in the overall standings. After the formula was adjusted 3000 and he had received no cockpit in its successor series GP2, Toccacelo competed in the World Series by Renault, formerly the World Series by Nissan. After half a season Toccacelo changed as a test driver for Formula 1 racing team Minardi. In the overall standings of the World Series by Renault, he finished with a victory in twelfth place overall. In 2006, he started once again in the World Series by Renault and took part in six races. A podium placement remained the Italians denied and he finished the season 26th in the championship. In 2007 he took part in six races in the FIA GT Championship, which he finished in 24th place overall, in part. He also appeared from 2005 to 2008 to a total of 40 races in the A1 Grand Prix and decided doing a race for themselves. In 2008 he took part in ten races of the Superleague Formula.
