Enrique Baldivieso

Enrique Aparicio Baldivieso (* 1902 in Tupiza, † 1957 in Buenos Aires, Argentina) was a Bolivian politician and in the years 1936 and 1937, foreign minister of his native country as well as from 1938 to 1939 Vice- President under President Germán Busch. Today the province Enrique Baldivieso transmits in the Bolivian department of Potosí in his honor his name.

Baldivieso was an author and playwright, academic lawyer at the University Mayor de San Andrés ( umsa ) in La Paz ( 1925), Director of the " Sociedad de Autores Teatrales " ( 1924-1925 ), and Minister of State in various governments ( 1934-1944 ). During the period 23 May to 22 June 1936, he was Bolivian Foreign Minister, was replaced by Enrique Finot and held the office again for a few months in the following year from 13 July 1937. Germán Under President Bush, he was Bolivian Vice President of 28 May 1938 until April 24, 1939 to four months before his unexplained death.
