Enterprise Manufacturing Intelligence

Enterprise Manufacturing Intelligence (EMI ) refers to the integration of production data from multiple sources in an enterprise.

A key component of EMI is the vertical integration of corporate data, that is, the relationship between automation engineering data that are typically found on a manufacturing execution system, and economic data that are managed in the Enterprise Resource Planning system. By establishing continuous data streams Key Performance Indicators should be identified and linked to the production of economic parameters of the planning level to allow for more timely analysis of manufacturing processes and their influence.
