Entisol

As Entisol is referred to according to the USDA soil classification very young, flat bottoms with no apparent stratification, but with variable pH. All soils that can not be assigned to any of the other soil types are Entisole. Because of their young age, they have virtually no profile. Entisole found both in tropical and in temperate latitudes and occur especially in the Sahara Desert and the Middle East.

They also form on hillsides, where the newly formed soil eroded and the soil thickness therefore increases only slowly. Fine-grained loess deposits also lead to the formation of Entisolen. You can certainly be used for agriculture.

The total area covered by this soil type area is about 21.1 million square kilometers, or about 16 percent of the ice-free land.
