Enzootic

Enzootic is the name for the local limit of an animal disease or infectious disease in animals, such as rabies, anthrax or Epizootic haemorrhagic disease of deer. The term is used in veterinary medicine similar to the human medical term endemicity. The region in which such an infectious disease occurs is limited, it is called Enzootiegebiet.
