Eochaid Buide

Eochaid I, known as Eochaid Buide, († 629) was approximately 608-629 King of the Irish-Scottish kingdom of Dalriada.

After his older brothers had been murdered, Eochaid succeeded his father Aidan on the throne. The nickname Buide means " Yellow " and probably refers to his blonde hair. He took on the King Edwin of Northumbria expelled from Prince Oswald and Oswiu. 622 Eochaid defeated the Uí Neill in the battle of Cenn Delgthan.

After heir Conaing was 622 perished at sea, Connad was appointed as the successor, the 629 took the throne from his father Eochaid.
