Eoin Ryan, Jnr

Eoin Ryan junior ( Irish Eoin Ó Riain Óg, born February 24, 1953 in Dublin) is an Irish politician ( Fianna Fáil ).

Ryan was elected first time in 1985 in the City Council of Dublin ( Dublin City Council ). In 1989 he was elected to Seanad Éireann to. The Seanad Éireann he was a member until November 1992 when he was elected to the 27th Dáil Éireann. During the 28th Dáil Éireann Ryan held from February 1, 2000 to June 6, 2002 the post of Minister of State for Local Development, with responsibility for the National Drugs Strategy.

In June 2004, Ryan was elected to the European Parliament. As a result, he joined in May 2007, no longer in elections to the 30th Dáil Éireann, and thus different from from the the Irish House. As a member of the European Parliament he was a member of the Union for a Europe of Nations. In the 2009 European elections, he could not defend his position.
