Eotvos (unit)

The Eötvös ( unit symbol: E ) is an obsolete and since July 5, 1970 no longer permissible unit for specifying gravity changes between different geographical locations in geophysics. It was named after the Hungarian physicist and inventor of the rotation or torsion Loránd Eötvös.
