EPIA

The EPIA platform from VIA Technologies is a collective term for a series of highly integrated motherboards in Mini -, nano- or pico -ITX design, which are equipped with one or two VIA C3, VIA C7 or Eden ESP CPUs.

The field of application of these motherboards is in the main in the embedded space, but also extends to set-top boxes, routers, thin clients and low cost PCs.

All EPIA motherboards have:

  • Integrated graphics ( IGP) with VGA and / or DVI port.
  • At least one LAN port
  • AC97 sound with 3 ports ( Line -Out, Line - In and Mic -in) mostly as jacks
  • 2 x ATA / ATAPI ( IDE slots) for Ultra DMA 133/100
