EPIC 2014

Google EPIC is a short film in Flash, which created by Robin Sloan and Matt Thompson and was put under the Creative Commons Licence. The first version under the title "Google EPIC 2014" was released in November of 2004, with original music by Aaron McLeran.

The first short film is a fictional look back through the " Museum of Media History" from the 2014 dar. it the emergence of the internet and Amazon, Google and MSN firms is described. In addition, the film shows the possible evolution of the corporations over " Googlezon " as a merger of Google and Amazon to "Google Epic " and the associated opportunities for participation by anyone on current events, but also the limitation of privacy and intellectual property. Google EPIC 2015

Shortly after the completion of Google EPIC 2014 the creators is still a lot on and noticed that was missing. Thus it was decided to once again bring out a revised work. Google EPIC 2015 is not quite as dark as its predecessor and describes the fictional possibilities less critical than the first part. This update was released in January 2005. Length: 8 min
