Epping Forest (District)

Epping Forest is a District in the county of Essex in England. It is named after the Forest Epping Forest, which covers a large part of that unit. The council is based in Epping. In the southwest of Epping Forest borders Greater London.

The District was formed on 1 April 1974. He was born from the merger of the urban districts Chigwell, Epping and Waltham Holy Cross, as well as a large part of the Epping Rural District and Ongar.

Epping Forest is M11 and M25 divided by the highways into four approximately equal parts.

The Central Line of the London Underground crosses Epping Forest from southwest to northeast and operated thereby following metro stations: Buckhurst Hill, Chigwell, Debden, Epping, Loughton and Theydon Bois.
