Epping (Moselle)

Epping ( German: Epping ) is a commune with 576 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It is part of the Regional Natural Park of Vosges du Nord.

Geography

Epping is located in the north of Lorraine ten kilometers north-west of Bitche and about two kilometers from the German - French border.

History

The village was mentioned in 1340 as Epping. Since 1790, the village in the canton of Volmunster. 1811 Urbach was combined with Epping.
