Épreville -en- Lieuvin located in Lieuvin, 43 kilometers southeast of Le Havre, 23 kilometers northeast of Lisieux and 14 kilometers northwest of Bernay, the capital of the eponymous arrondissement. Place name

The name was originally Esprevilla (see Villa ). There are several villages of this name in Normandy, Martainville- Épreville, Épreville, Épreville -en- Roumois and Épreville- près -le- Neubourg. Middle Ages and the Ancien Régime
