Equinox (OSGi)

Equinox (from english day and night are equally long ) is a system developed by the Eclipse Foundation Java -based framework that implements the OSGi core specification and forms the backbone of the integrated development environment Eclipse.

Implemented in addition to the Equinox OSGi standard additional functionalities, such as the extension registry, which allows to register Eclipse extensions and use it.
