Equity Value

The Equity Value ( German: equity value ) of a company is the value of its equity, expressed as a market value (that is, regardless of its book value). The equity value is therefore the part of the enterprise value ( engl. enterprise value), attributable to the shareholders or shareholders.

For listed companies, the equity value can be calculated based on market capitalization. Differences may arise if the company has issued additional shares to other equity instruments or rights.
