Eran Riklis

Eran Riklis (Hebrew ערן ריקליס; born 1954 in Jerusalem) is an Israeli film director.

Eran Riklis graduated a film studies at the Beaconsfield National Film School from England. In 1984, he was with his graduation film On a Clear Day You Can See Damascus his feature film debut. With his second film Cup Final in 1991, he managed a first international success. He took with the film at the Moscow Film Festival in part and showed the film in the International Forum of the Berlinale 1992. His international breakthrough he experienced in 2004 with the film The Syrian Bride. In 2008 he exhibited at the Berlinale 2008 before his film Lemon Tree, and received for this film the Panorama Audience Award and a nomination for the European Film Awards 2008 in the category Best Screenplay.
