History and founding of Erasure
Vince Clarke is a synthesizer and sequencer specialist who as a founding member of Depeche Mode whose first composed hits ("New Life", " Just Can not Get Enough "). By the end of 1981, Clarke left Depeche Mode due to musical differences, to come together in 1982 for a short time with Alison Moyet for successful duo Yazoo. The album reached # 29 in the UK charts, number 35 in Germany and number 61 in the U.S.. The single " Be with You" reached # 7 on the U.S. dance charts.
