Erdöl-Erdgas-Museum Twist

The oil and gas Museum is a museum in the Emsland Twist Twist, which is concerned with the promotion and processing of petroleum and natural gas.

History

In 1999, the oil and gas Museum Twist was founded. Initially, the museum was housed in the basement of the home house. With the completion of the new museum building in 2009, the move and the reopening could be carried out.

The Museum

The museum is located in the area, the largest oil fields in Germany. 2009, was able to move into a new building, which is externally adjusted to the neighboring houses home. A skilled designer designed the interior design for this technical museum where over 450 m² on two levels, the objects are presented. The upper gallery can be used for special exhibitions. In the outdoor exhibition at the Museum large plant parts from the oil and gas operations are to be visited.

The museum has an auditorium with a media presentation as well as a specialized library. It is wheelchair accessible.

For Dutch visitors concise information panels are mounted in the Dutch language to the objects.
