Erec and Enide

Erec et Enide ( Erec dt ) by Chrétien de Troyes is a narrative poem of Artusepik, dating back to 1160.

Erec et Enide comprises about 7000 verses, and Chrétien's first Arthurian novel, based on the Arthurian legends of Celtic origin on the historical film of the battles between the Celts and the Saxon invaders. The fabric was shortly thereafter adapted by Hartmann von Aue 's Erec same and so developed its European impact. Erec et Enide tells the story of the Arthurian knight Erec, who then lives faithless in his first aventure his wife Enide and freed with this.
