Ergani

Ergani ( zazaisch Ergeni, Kurdish Erxenî ) is a town and also the name of a district in the Turkish province of Diyarbakir. Ergani is located in the west of the province and borders the provinces of Şanlıurfa and Elazığ.

Probably Ergani is identical with the Assyrian Arqania that is mentioned in an inscription of Assur - nasir - pals.
