Ergisch ( Valais German: Ärgisch ) is a Munizipalgemeinde the district of Leuk in the German-speaking part of the State of Valais in Switzerland. It is located 1086 meters above sea. M.

Name

Argessa is the historical name of Ergisch. It means so much as the white / silver rock. That color is also the bedrock on which the mountain village is built.

Next Argessa is the name of the resident of the village drummers and pipers club. The association maintains the traditional game of drum and whistle in historical uniform as their ancestors, the mercenaries were doing. The uniform is worn (red and blue ) in the colors of the municipal coat of arms.
