Erhard Wunderlich (2008)

Erhard Wunderlich called Sepp ( born December 14, 1956 in Augsburg; † 4 October 2012 in Cologne ) was a German handball player. His playing position was back space left.

Career

1976 Erhard Wunderlich moved from FC Augsburg VfL Gummersbach. From 1976 to 1986 he played for the German national; in 140 games, he scored 504 goals. In 1983 he went to FC Barcelona before he moved back again in 1984 in the Handball - Bundesliga TSV Milbertshofen, where he played until 1989. He ended his active career as a player of VfL Bad Schwartau, after he had done in 1991 with VfL the Bundesliga ascent. Private life

In the 1990s, he was a business owner for office equipment in Lake Main Lake Starnberg. In 1999 he married his second wife. With his second wife Pia he ran until the end of 2006 a hotel, the Villa Wunderlich am Mondsee. Erhard Wunderlich lived with his wife Pia in Bergisch Gladbach. He had two children from his first marriage. His marriage to his second wife had no children. On October 4, 2012 Wunderlich died of skin cancer at the age of 55 years. A week later he was buried in the cemetery west of Augsburg.
